Director of Music

Part Time Position (approximately 8 hours per week)
August 1 through May 31
Salary $25/hour, 8 hours/week, 44 weeks/year $8,800

Responsibilities

Lead and direct musical performances on Sunday mornings, special services and Christian holidays
Select appropriate music with Pastor for different occasions
Conduct weekly rehearsals to ensure musical excellence and cohesion among performers
Provide guidance and mentorship to musicians, helping them improve their skills
Collaborate with Pastor to create cohesive and impactful worship services

Skills

Proficiency in piano  and conducting musical ensembles, guitar a plus
Ability to select and adapt music repertoire for different genres and styles
Strong leadership skills to inspire and motivate choir members and other musicians
Attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of musical performance
