"Let us give thanks, by which we offer to God an acceptable worship with reverence and awe.” Hebrews 12:28

The clarion call of the Reformation of the Church in the 16th century was that we find salvation by grace through our faith in Jesus Christ. At Brownback’s UCC, we are faithful to our Reformed forebears in this belief, as we live out our faith today in the 21st century.

Brownback’s UCC is small enough to be friendly, yet large enough to provide a beautiful setting for worship, blending together liturgy and instrumental and choral music. The sermons are not only "good news", but they are designed to relate to the issues we face in everyday life.

The Heidelberg Catechism asks, “Since, then faith alone makes us share in Christ and all his benefits, where does such faith originate? And the answer provided is: “The Holy Spirit creates it in our hearts by the preaching of the holy gospel, and confirms it in us by the use of the holy Sacraments.”  Through this, we recognize the primary importance of the church in our lives as Christians.

Children are an important part of the life of Brownback’s UCC — including our worship. After the scripture readings, children are invited to gather with the Pastor for the children's sermon. The children are then invited to participate in Worship Play, which provides an age-appropriate discussion of the same lessons shared in the weekly sermon. The children also participate in activities that support the week's theme.

Come be refreshed and renewed!  The Sunday morning service of worship is at 10:00 AM.
